A New world order
born from collapse
In the late 2020s, escalating global conflict pushed humanity to the brink. In response, five of the most powerful corporations on Earth began building private military forces—advanced, autonomous, and powered by rapidly evolving artificial intelligence.
At first, it was framed as protection.
Then one corporation intervened in a global conflict—and ended it.
Quickly. Efficiently. Decisively.
They were seen as heroes.
Until governments realized what had just happened.
Power had shifted.
Control was no longer political—it was corporate.
Calls for regulation turned into demands. Demands turned into threats. And somewhere in the chaos, war broke out.
No one knows who struck first.
But everyone remembers what followed.
THE FALL
Global Collapse
The war between governments and corporations reshaped the planet.
Infrastructure collapsed. Power grids failed. Entire cities fell into ruin. Advanced technology—once seamlessly integrated into everyday life—became unusable, misunderstood, or lost entirely.
Decades later, the world exists in fragments.
Electricity is rationed.
Knowledge is incomplete.
And the artifacts of the past are scattered across vast junkyards—graveyards of a forgotten age.
THE MISUNDERSTOOD REMNANTS
Without context, technology became mythology
Audio Speakers are believed to be “Eyes that Speak”—watchful entities that speak with unseen authority.
Musical instruments are considered sacred by some—relics of power from a forgotten world—yet they lie half-buried in rust and ruin, dismissed as worthless scrap by the masses. Only the few willing to brave the wastelands dare to recover them… and attempt to awaken whatever sound still lives within.
Computer chips are worn as symbols of lost power and knowledge.
Devices are feared, worshipped, or experimented with—depending on who finds them.
Most people no longer understand what these objects were.
Only what they might be.
THE ENCODERS
From the ruins emerged a rare group known as Encoders
Individuals capable of interacting with old-world technology—extracting fragments of sound from CDs, MP3 players, broken drives, and corrupted systems.
To the people, these fragments are not random.
They are messages.
Signals from the past.
Or something beyond it.
Encoders don’t just recover sound—they interpret it. Reassemble it. Transform it into compositions that are believed to carry meaning from a higher source.
Some see them as translators.
Others see them as prophets.
Rod Wess
The Mystic Encoder
From a young age, he demonstrated an unnatural ability to recover and reconstruct sound from dead systems. Where others heard noise, he heard patterns. Where others found fragments, he found meaning.
Using salvaged DJ controllers, broken playback devices, and hand-modified instruments, Wess began creating compositions unlike anything the world had ever experienced.
Layered. Intentional. Powerful.
To the people, his music isn’t just art.
It’s truth.
A message from the Universe itself.
THE CORPORATIONS (STILL WATCHING)
the world believes the corporations fell, they never truly disappeared
They adapted.
Moved into the shadows.
And began rebuilding influence in silence.
To them, Wess is not a prophet.
He is a threat.
Because they believe something different:
The message Wess is transmitting is real.
And it was never meant for everyone.
THE DIVIDE
The Resonant vs The Static
As Wess’s influence grows, so does tension across the world.
Two major beliefs begin to form:
The Resonant — Those who believe Wess is delivering truth meant for all people
The Static — Those who fear he has already been compromised or will be
Meanwhile, the corporations attempt to intervene directly.
They offer Wess power. Resources. Protection.
In exchange for one thing:
Two messages.
One for them.
And one for everyone else.
A controlled narrative.
A rewritten truth.
THE QUESTION
At the Center a single conflict
Will Rod Wess remain true to the people—
or will he give in to those who still control what remains of the world?
Because in this world…
Music isn’t entertainment.
It’s power.
And whoever controls the message…
Controls what comes next.
